WA Home Services Contractor service guarantee

Contractor commitment

Five-Star Service Guarantee

Every WA Home Services contractor agrees to a practical service standard designed to give homeowners a clear path from enquiry to outcome: fast replies, clear quoting, professional work, steady communication, and help finding the right solution if the contractor cannot assist.

The service standard

All listed trades and service providers agree to these obligations when accepting enquiries, quote requests, or referrals from WA Home Services.

Acknowledge new contacts, leads, and quote requests within 24 hours wherever reasonably practical.
Make reasonable efforts to contact the client by phone, SMS, or email using the details provided.
Provide a quote, estimate, inspection booking, or clear next step when the client has requested one.
Be upfront about availability, service area, call-out fees, deposit requirements, and expected timing.
Provide genuine support and practical advice, even when the job is small or not an ideal fit.
Complete accepted work in a professional, lawful, safe, and timely manner.
Keep clients updated if timing, scope, pricing, materials, or attendance changes.
Only request deposits or upfront payments that are reasonable for the work, materials, risk, and timing involved.
Keep business details, licences, insurances, contact details, and service categories accurate and current.
Treat clients, WA Home Services staff, and other listed businesses with professionalism and respect.
Above all else, if the contractor cannot assist, they will make a reasonable effort to point the client in the right direction so the client can keep moving toward a solution.

Contractor obligations

A WA Home Services listing is not only an advertising position. It is an agreement to respond properly, communicate clearly, quote honestly, perform accepted work professionally, and protect the trust placed in the network.

Contractors agree not to ignore referred clients, not to mislead clients about their relationship with WA Home Services, and not to take on work they are not suitably licensed, insured, qualified, or available to complete.

Contractors also agree that WA Home Services may check on lead outcomes, review client feedback, and ask for updates where needed to maintain the quality of the network.

Client outcome promise

  • The client receives a timely response.
  • The client receives a clear quote, estimate, booking, referral, or next step.
  • The client is kept updated when circumstances change.
  • The client is treated fairly and professionally.
  • The client is not left stuck without guidance if the listed contractor cannot help.

Follow-up and accountability

WA Home Services may contact listed contractors about referred enquiries to confirm whether the client was contacted, whether a quote or next step was provided, whether the job went ahead, and whether anything needs attention.

Client feedback may be used to improve the referral process, support good contractors, and identify listings that are not meeting the expected standard.

Review or removal

WA Home Services may pause, review, move, or remove a contractor listing if the contractor repeatedly fails to respond, quote, communicate, maintain required business details, act professionally, or follow through on agreed work.

Where practical, WA Home Services will raise concerns with the contractor first and give them an opportunity to correct the issue.
